Where It Started
Wooden Twist began in 2020, started by brothers Faheem and Azeem Shamsi from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh — a city already famous worldwide for its hand-carved wood craftsmanship. While still in college, Faheem set out to bring that craftsmanship to a global audience, listing products on eBay, the only platform available in India at the time. The very first product — a set of 10 hand-carved wooden spoons — went viral and brought in thousands of orders almost overnight.

Finding Our Footing
As Amazon and Flipkart launched in India, Wooden Twist expanded onto both marketplaces, and soon after launched its own direct-to-customer site. What began with small hand-carved pieces grew into a full furniture catalog — from traditional hand-carved designs to modern furniture — always shaped by what customers actually asked for. Every bit of this growth was bootstrapped, built order by order.

100,000 Orders & Recognition
In November 2023, Wooden Twist crossed 100,000 orders — a milestone marked with an award from Shopify. Along the way, the brand also earned multiple Amazon Best Seller recognitions and an award from Flipkart during Big Billion Days.

Going International
2023 also marked Wooden Twist's international expansion — the company was officially registered in Dubai on March 14, 2023, followed by its first UAE showroom. A second showroom opened in Sharjah in October 2025, bringing Wooden Twist's furniture to customers across the UAE.
